The first Miss & Mrs Cross Continent event in Dublin showed how a pageant can combine cultural diversity, leadership and practical community education.
Twenty-four women from seven countries participated in the programme, which was attended by approximately 450 guests at the Church of news euros Scientology & Community Centre.
Organised by Miss & Mrs Cross Continent Events Ltd. and sponsored by Broccoli Care Ltd., the programme was developed in collaboration with The Truth About Drugs Ireland.
Participants were invited to explore educational materials explaining the risks and effects associated with drug abuse. Several contestants completed online drug-education courses before the event, with some finishing all fourteen modules.
The Mayor of South Dublin praised the contestants for using their public platform to promote informed choices and stronger communities.
Guests enjoyed performances representing Irish, Indian and Indonesian traditions throughout the afternoon.
Niveditha Vudayagiri, a software engineer with a master’s degree in artificial intelligence, was crowned Miss Cross Continent 2026. The other leading awards went to Fortunate Lindokuhle Masina and Yuki Yuliatin.
By combining cultural expression with drug education, the programme gave the traditional pageant format a wider social purpose. Further background appears in the article covering the Dublin pageant promoting culture, leadership and drug awareness.
